When Little Excavator, who is eager to help, arrives at the construction site, he is told he is not quite ready for the jobs done by the larger vehicles, but they eventually find the job that is just right for him.

Spending the night at Gram and Grandpa's house, Llama Llama discovers that he cannot sleep because he has left Fuzzy Llama at home, but Grandpa soon comes up with a solution to replace the stuffed toy.

Llama Llama does exercises and performs such activities as hops, jumps, thumps, bends, taps, streches, and bows.

When Mama Llama says it is time to clean up, Llama ignores her since he is more interested in playing than cleaning, but Mama finds an imaginative way to teach Llama a lesson about cleanliness.
