Description
The song of Hiawatha: celebrates the heroic deeds of the legendary Ojibway Chief on miraculous birth, sent by the Great Spirit to lead his people. The story begins as fur trader Jean Bertrand, a French priest, and a native interpreter canoe through the Lake Superior region in search of Hiawatha. Tribesmen guided them to the lodge of his grandmother, Nokomis, where she and tribal leader lagoo tell Hiawatha's legendary story.
