Continues the adventures of young school teacher Elizabeth Thatcher and Mountie Jack Thornton, as they face new adventures and trials with the many citizens of Hope Valley, a town on the Canadian frontier.

When Elizabeth volunteers to look after a neighbor's rural homestead and his two children, it proves to be a bigger undertaking than she'd imagined until Jack lends a hand. Hope Valley gets some big-town visitors when Bill Avery's investigation of a counterfeiting ring leads him to town and Elizabeth's former suitor shows up in her schoolhouse.

Constable Benton Fraser of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police comes to Chicago to track down his father's killer. He stays and partners with Ray Vecchio, a local Chicago detective, to solve crimes.
